Meet Denise, Unfiltered

For a lot of my life, I was busy being what everybody needed me to be.

A mom. A wife. A professional. A caregiver. A friend. The dependable one. The one who figured it out. The one who kept going—even when life was doing the absolute most.

And somewhere in all of those roles, it became really easy to lose sight of Denise.

Then came my 50s. And apparently, life had a few plot twists left.

There was separation. Divorce. Heartbreak. Healing. Becoming a grandmother. Career changes. Therapy. Starting over. Learning boundaries. Rediscovering myself.

And eventually, one very important realization:

I wasn’t starting over. I was finally getting to know the woman I’d become.

I’m a woman in my 50s who doesn’t have everything figured out—and I’m no longer pretending that I do.

I’m a mother. A grandmother. A friend. A professional. A storyteller. A woman who has loved, lost, healed, laughed, cried, made some questionable decisions, learned some expensive lessons—and lived long enough to laugh about quite a few of them.

I love a soft life, but I’ve learned that even though life is sometimes hard, it can still be peaceful. I am learning to find joy in simple things, while doing hard things.

I like good conversation, good wine, a beautiful space, gold jewelry, clothes with pockets, and people who mean what they say.

Because I’ve spent enough years editing myself.

Denise, Unfiltered is the version of me who is willing to say the thing out loud.

The uncomfortable thing.
The funny thing.
The thing we’re all thinking but aren’t sure we’re supposed to say.

I’m not here because I’ve mastered grown womanhood.

I’m here because I’m living it in real time.

And I’ve discovered that some of the best conversations happen when one woman is willing to say, “Okay…are we going to talk about this or not?”

That’s the woman behind the microphone.

A Grown Woman’s Vibe™ was born from my story, but it isn’t just about my story.

It’s about creating a place where women can recognize pieces of their own lives in the conversation.

Where we can talk about healing without making everything heavy.

Where we can talk about getting older without acting like life is winding down.

Where we can admit that we’re still learning, still changing, still dating, still dreaming, still starting things, still getting it wrong sometimes—and still becoming.

I’m Denise.

No guru. No perfect life. No pretending.

Just a grown woman with some stories, a microphone, and a couch with room for you.
